Makita BMR100 Radio
The Makita BMR100 site Radio - Cordless Tunes For the Worksite
I’ve been selling some of the Makita products in a DIY shop, and they’ve always proved popular. So when the Makita Bmr100 construction site radio came out, we had to stock it.
Its a high quality radio made for adverse conditions. Any site where there’s dust and grime and big noise, is a great place for this hard wearing site radio. This is a radio that lives up to the Makita reputation for professional and reliable tools and technology.
Whats it got? Rugged design. You cant crack this baby. Its got elastomer protection bumpers, and offers 5 minutes of rain resistance! So even if its tipping down with rain, it will still keep going, although thats not the best conditions to be working in! Its built to withstand intense heat or cold, so you could be working in the Sahara, or the Arctic, This radio will work!
Its got an autoscan clock and timer, digital tuning, with AM and FM reception.
Big sound – Even though it is small in size, the sound it delivers is enough to heard over the loudest pneumatic drills, or the sounds of the typical construction site. The sound is excellent with excellent stereo speakers on each site of the unit.
There is an earphone socket as one would expect, and an input jack which enables you to play your MP3 player through the speakers. That has got to be good!
The Unit can be connected to any AC power outlet, or it can use a Makita lithium battery. Only thing is that because the radio does not charge batteries, then the battery will have to be charged using an existing Makita charger. so you may have to buy a charger. if you don’t already have one from existing Makita power tools. The radio can run for two days before the radio is completely drained.
Portable with a strong sturdy handle, this is a radio that wont break easily.
Well worth the investment of you’re a regular on site.

If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.
